Bio
I achieved a First Class BA(Hons) in Professional Musicianship while studying at the world renowned Brighton Institute Of Modern Music. In my last year I elected to study Teaching, Session Skills and Performance.
During this time I was lucky enough to be taught by some truly amazing players such as Guthrie Govan, Adrian Legg, Carl Verheyen, Steve Smyth, Chris Eaton, Aynsley Lister, Paul Bielatowicz, Billy Sheehan, Damien Morris (Sugababes, Moby), Jim williams (This Mortal Coil, Maxi Priest, M-People), Scott Mcgill (McGill Manring Stevens, FreakZoid), and Pat Heath (Furyon). I’ve also worked for bassist Herbie Flowers (Lou Reed, David Bowie) teaching songwriting, guitar and performance.
I've packed in around 18 years playing/gigging experience currently teaching in Edinburgh, through Skype, or via pre-recorded video lessons. I am comfortable with a wide range of styles and techniques including: rock, hip-hop, indie, metal, reggae, funk, jazz, and blues among others. I also teach songwriting, music theory and am competent with guitar set ups, basic repairs and modifications.
Aside from this- I have published 4 eBooks for learning guitar, written music for indie videos games, regularly record for sessions, creacted a free guitar app for Android and create two pieces lessons or content for my YouTube. Currently, I play guitar for the UK’s only Siouxsie And The Banshees Tribute Band and electric fretless bass in the Heebie Jeebies.
